Tanishaa Mukerji made her big Bollywood debut with 'Sssshhh…' back in 2003 alongside Dino Morea and Gaurav Kapur. The actress recently shared a shocking memory from the film’s shoot. She revealed that she actually had a near-death experience on set when she and her co-stars were involved in a serious accident.

Car plunges into gorge

In a chat with Vickey Lalwani, Tanishaa shared that while travelling with her co-stars Dino Morea, Gaurav Kapur, and director Pavan S Kaul, their car slipped on black ice and fell into a gorge. The accident left Gaurav with several fractures in his arm, while Dino also broke a bone.

Elaborating further, the actress revealed she suffered a serious concussion in the accident. Doctors told her that the impact had caused swelling in her brain, and it took her over a year to fully recover. Despite the trauma, she continued shooting Sssshhh… and other films at the time.

Memory loss after the accident

She also revealed that the accident led to memory loss. She said it felt like one of those filmi scenes where a character wakes up after an injury not knowing anyone. Her mother rushed to Manali to be by her side, and soon after, they had to move to Delhi for her treatment.

Defending star kids

In another interview with Pinkvilla, she defended star kids and said she’s proud to be a Bollywood baby herself.
Tanishaa shared that constant criticism of the industry hurts her, as she loves her fraternity and even nepo babies, questioning why Bollywood is being unfairly bashed.Tanishaa further explained that being born into a film family comes with a sense of loyalty to the industry. She said star kids grow up thinking of giving back to cinema, whether as actors, directors, or producers. In contrast, she felt that many outsiders enter Bollywood only to take from it, without the same sense of commitment.
