Actor Salman Khan is one of the prominent and big heroes of Bollywood and his fame flows throughout the country apart from North India. The actor tries to capture the attention of the movie audience by acting in different genres that cater to different sets of audience based geographically. Here is a list of films of Salman Khan that were remade in Hindi from various South Indian languages!

Tere Naam

Released in 2003, the film is a remake of the Tamil film 'Sethu'. Starring Vikram in the lead role, the movie was released in 1999 and it is about a tragic love story of a man who later suffers from brain injury and struggles with his emotions after the death of his love interest. The Hindi remake was directed by Satish Kaushik and the film's cast includes Bhumika Chawla, Sachin Khedekar, Savita Prabhune, Ravi Kishan. The movie made a gross of Rs 24 crore worldwide.

Wanted

Released in 2009, 'Wanted' is a remake of the Tamil and Telugu film 'Pokiri'. It starred Mahesh Babu in Telugu and Vijay in Tamil. The story of the film is about a cop who goes undercover to bring out a ruthless gangster from hiding and eliminates his entire crime line. The Hindi film was directed by Prabhu Deva and it alsos starred Prakash Raj, Ayesjha Takia and it made a gross of Rs 90 crore at the box office.

Bodyguard

It is a remake of the Malayalam film that starred Dileep in the lead role. The movie was released in 2011 in Hindi and the movie focuses on the life of a bodyguard who falls in love with the daughter of his boss through calls without realising her true identity. Directed by Siddique, the film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Hazel Keech, Raj Babbar among others and it made a gross of Rs 250 crore at the box office.

Kick

Starring Ravi Teja in the lead role, the film was released in Telugu in 2009. Salman Khan played in the Hindi remake of the film and the movie is about a man who seeks thrills and adventure in every day of his life leaving out the risk quotient. The Hindi version of the film was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and it made a box office of Rs 402 crore.

Jai Ho

Released in 2014, the Salman Khan starrer is a remake of the Telugu film 'Stalin' starring Chiranjeevi. The movie is about a man who wants to make a difference in society and he helps and encourages people to help other people instead of seeking rewards. Directed by Sohail Khan, 'Jai Ho' starred Tabu, Daisy Shah, Aditya Pancholi and it made a box office collection of Rs 195 crore.
