doweshowbellyad=0; Nayagan.D asavatharam is celluloid proof that the license to dream, the freedom to imagine, the enthusiasm to be creative, and the ability to suspend disbelief is still possible. But only if the brains behind this challenge, are not only phenomenally talented but also extremely committed and passionate about what they are doing. I saw Dasavatharam, sorry, I experienced Dasavatharam.
In my opinion it is an ultimate testimony of a person's self belief. It is as much peer pressure that makes me say this, as it is awe. Kamal Haasan is a far more phenomenal film personality than I can ever hope to be.
It is not modesty that makes me say this, it is honesty. I have not been as astonished by any film since Mother India. I was astonished by Dasavatharam. The sheer audacity, magnificence and histrionics are simply spellbinding to say the least. Kamal Haasan was a child I taught to walk and talk. He flies now and leaves me speechless! That child has now become the father of this man. And that makes me humbler and prouder. Hats off to K S Ravikumar who harnessed the volcano, a salute to Aaskar Ravichandran for the freedom and space. These three personalities have taken creativity to never before heights and dimensions. They have done Indian cinema proud.
