Earlier in the day, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) co-owner Shah Rukh Khan confirmed that he will host the IPL 2025 opening ceremony at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. SRK, along with other Bollywood stars, is set to deliver a power-packed performance before KKR's opening match against RCB.

The 18th edition of the IPL kicks off on March 22, with the final set for May 25. Featuring 74 matches across 13 venues, the season includes 12 double-headers. Defending champions KKR face RCB in the opener at Eden Gardens, which will also host Qualifier 2 and the grand finale.
