While her upcoming venture, "The Archies," gears up for a Netflix release today, Akhtar revisited the challenging phase of her career when her maiden film didn't resonate as expected at the box office.

Speaking candidly, Zoya Akhtar highlighted the emotional toll of the film's underperformance despite receiving commendable praise from critics. She credited the critics' positive reviews for soaring her self-esteem during the trying times, emphasizing how their validation helped her endure the disappointment of the film's commercial reception. "You take it very badly when something that you have worked on and nurtured comes out and doesn’t do well," Akhtar expressed, underscoring the significance of critical acclaim in sustaining her spirits.
"Luck By Chance," featuring Farhan Akhtar, Konkana Sen Sharma, and Dimple Kapadia, marked Shah Rukh Khan's cameo appearance. Reflecting on her aspirations, Akhtar expressed her desire to helm a full-fledged film with SRK, highlighting that every director in the industry would aspire to collaborate with him given the right project and role alignment.
