'Tiger 3', 'OMG 2', 'Gadar 2': Most anticipated Bollywood sequels to look forward to in 2023

When audiences love a film and make it a hit, they pave the way for its sequel. The excitement for the sequels is also quite high. After a relatively dull 2022, the year 2023 is aiming to score high on sequels. From Salman Khan starrer 'Tiger 3', Akshay Kumar starrer 'OMG 2' to Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2', here's taking a look at the most anticipated Bollywood sequels to look forward to this year.

'Singham 3'

After the super success of 'Singham' and 'Singham 2', Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn are all set to collaborate once again for the much-awaited third instalment of the movie. The actor kick-started his New Year by reading the script of the third instalment of the movie. He also took to his Twitter handle to post a lovely photo with the filmmaker as he shared the 'Singham 2' announcement with his fans. He wrote, 'Made a good start to the New Year with #RohitShetty’s narration of Singham Again. The script I heard is. God willing this will be our 11th blockbuster.' The other cast and details of the film is yet to be unveiled.

'Tiger 3'

After two successful instalments, 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai', the makers of the action spy thriller are all set with the third instalment. 'Tiger 3' is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. Apart from Salman and Katrina Kaif, the makers have also roped in Emraan Hashmi for this part. The 'Murder' actor will be seen playing the antagonist in the film. The film is expectedly high on action. Makers have even roped in a Korean stunt team to choreograph the action sequences in the movie. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, 'Tiger 3' will hit the theatres on the occasion of Eid this year.

'OMG 2'

Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal srarrer 'OMG: Oh My God' had received much love and appreciation from the audience. Now the makers are all set for the second instalment of the satirical comedy. The second part will star Akshay Kumar along with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam. During a media interaction, Akshay had revealed last year that the OMG sequel will be an honest attempt to reflect on an important social issue. The film is directed by Amit Rai. The release date is yet to be officially announced.

'Dream Girl 2'

Ayushmann Khurrana impressed one and all with his performance in 'Dream Girl' and now the makers are all set with a sequel. The second instalment of the movie will star Ananya Panday opposite Ayushmann. The film will also feature actors like Annu Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Abhishek Banerjee, Manoj Joshi, Vijay Raaz, Seema Pahwa and Rajpal Yadav in key roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on June 29, 2023.

'Gadar 2'

Anil Sharma's 'Gadar: Ek Prem Katha', starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel was released in 2001 and it is needless to say, the film was a roaring success at the box office. 22 years after the release of the film, the makers are coming up with the sequel. The film will bring together Sunny and Ameesha on the silver screen once again. It will also star Utkarsh Sharma in a key role. It is slated to release in the first half of 2023.

'Fukrey 3'

The makers of comedy franchise 'Fukrey' are coming up with the next instalment of the movie and fans just can't keep calm. The third part will star Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Manjot Singh, and Richa Chadha. While Ali Fazal has been a part of the film in the first two parts, he couldn't be a part of the third one owing to other commitments. Directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, the film is expected to release this year.
