Body-shaming
During a recent interview with an entertainment portal, Ananya revealed how she has been body-shamed for her physical appearance, even before marking her big Bollywood debut. “I would go out with my parents and as I said, I was very thin. People used to say I look like a boy, a flatscreen and all those kinds of things,” she recalled.

Nepotism debate
In an earlier interview, Ananya came in the line of fire for offering her views on nepotism. She went on to share how it isn’t easy for star kids as people might think and asserted that everyone has their own journey. “My dad has never been a part of the Dharma film. He has never been on 'Koffee with Karan',” she had said. Soon after, she was trolled for deeming a chat show to be a measure of success.

Spat with friends
Around the time she was promoting her debut film, Ananya had revealed that she had rejected admission in the prestigious University of Southern California to make a career in Bollywood. Soon after, an online account of a person who claimed to be the actress's friend attacked her for faking her academics. This led to the actress being trolled.

Much ado over a typo
In 2019, the ‘Student of the Year 2’ actress posted a social media update but unfortunately missed a typo. She had to face the wrath of internet trolls, following which she took the post down, corrected, and reposted.

Sartorial choices
Ananya is still figuring out a look for herself but in the meantime, trolls won't spare her mistakes. While one of her red carpet dresses drew flak for bearing a strong resemblance to Deepika Padukone’s aesthetics, one of her off-duty looks was also turned into a meme in no time, and when she wore a comfy white sweater dress, she was ridiculed over the missing pants.
