Abhimanyu Singh has opened up about his successful journey in the South film industry and his memorable experience working with Vijay. In a recent interaction, the actor spoke about the overwhelming love he received after Rakta Charitra and even recalled a terrifying near-death experience while shooting an action sequence with Vijay.Abhimanyu briefly mentioned that despite debuting with Amitabh Bachchan in Aks, his struggle continued after the film failed at the box office. He also recalled being recommended by Manoj Bajpayee for the film.

South mein struggle ka kuch tha hi nahi’

Speaking about his transition to South cinema, Abhimanyu said his life changed after Rakta Charitra.“Jaise hi maine ‘Rakta Charitra’ ki, wahan logon ne mujhe haathon haath utha liya. Sudden craze ho gaya tha. Wahan struggle ka kuch tha hi nahi. Seedha main door khul gaya aur badi-badi films mere lap mein aa gayi,” he told Hindi Rush.The actor added that he received immense love and respect from audiences in Hyderabad and across the South industry.Abhimanyu also shared how he tackled the language barrier while working in Telugu films. Talking about Vijay, Abhimanyu described him as “simple” and “grounded” despite being a massive superstar.He then narrated a shocking incident from the shoot of one of their films, where both actors performed a fight sequence atop a moving train without any safety support.“Train 90-100 km ki speed mein thi aur neeche 2500 feet ki khaai thi. Agar mera pair slip hota toh main Vijay ko pakad leta, agar unka slip hota toh woh mujhe pakad lete aur hum dono mar jaate. Zero safety thi,” he recalled. Abhimanyu admitted the incident left him shaken for days.“Chhe-saat din tak mujhe neend nahi aayi. Woh death se narrow escape tha,” he said.
