Vishal Bhardwaj reveals Shah Rukh Khan's reaction to their collaboration talks; 'Yaar ek film to honi chahiye…'

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj recently opened up about working with Shah Rukh Khan. The director was asked if the superstar would ever enter his world of cinema. The 'O'Romeo' helmer expressed hope on collaborating with SRK. Let's learn more about it.In an interview with ANI, Vishal Bhardwaj was asked if the filmmaker would be part of his cinematic world. To which the filmmaker answered, "I think it (collaboration) has to happen. Main saal mein Shah Rukh se kitni baari kitni stories ke liye baat karta hun (I talk to Shah Rukh so many times throughout the year for multiple stories). He always responds to my message, and he's a lovely person. He's the greatest charmer of our country." In the same conversation, Vishal Bhardwaj revealed that he had shared a story with Shah Rukh Khan during the making of 'O' Romeo'. He said, "Who doesn't love Shah Rukh Khan? Let me put it that way. Everyone loves him. And there has to be something so beautiful in him as a person, also, that makes him Shah Rukh Khan."He went on to add, "Maine unhe iss film ('O' Romeo') ke dauran bhi ek kahani bheji hui hai aur woh bhi humesha bolte hai ki, 'Yaar ek film toh honi chayie jo hum dono ko saath mein karni chahiye', but definitely, there has to be one film between Shah Rukh and me. Inshallah, is baar woh miracle ho jaye (I had even sent him a story during 'O' Romeo', and he always says, ‘There should be a film that we do together’)."Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri in the lead roles. The movie also featured Avinash Tiwary, Nana Patekar, and Tamannaah Bhatia in the key roles. It was released in theaters on February 13, 2026. Shah Rukh Khan will next feature in Siddharth Anand's next 'King'. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, and more. It is scheduled to hit cinemas in December this year.
