On Koffee With Karan Season 6, Shweta bachchan Nanda, along with Abhishek Bachchan, shared that she is concerned about Navya joining the film industry. Shweta believes that just because Navya comes from a famous family doesn't mean she should be in the industry. She emphasized that unless Navya is truly passionate, talented, and driven, it wouldn’t be the right path for her.

Shweta expressed that she doesn’t want her daughter Navya to experience the same challenges her brother, Abhishek faced in his career. She mentioned how difficult it was for her to see the negativity directed at him, especially on social media. As a sister, it deeply affected her and gave her sleepless nights. Shweta emphasized that she doesn’t want another family member to enter the industry for the wrong reasons. She also pointed out that, while she isn’t sure about Navya’s talent, being related to famous people doesn’t guarantee success in the industry.



Shweta Reflects on the Emotional Toll of the Film Industry
The star daughter admitted that her concern for Navya kept her from entering the film industry, expressing her fear of failure in the showbiz world. She reflected on how her protective instincts led her to be overbearing and perhaps unfair. Having witnessed the heartbreak of her family members, like her brother Abhishek and sister-in-law Aishwarya, when things didn’t go as planned in their careers, Shweta understands the emotional toll the industry can take.

Navya's Definite No to Acting
A few years ago, Navya made it clear in an interview with Vogue India that she had no interest in pursuing acting. She shared that she was enjoying her internship at an advertising agency and valued the independence she experienced while living in Manhattan.
