'Why would he apologize?': Govinda’s manager slams claims of actor saying sorry after paparazzi scuffle
A video of actor Govinda apparently pacifying a paparazzo after a scuffle with his security guard went viral on Tuesday, with many believing he had personally apologised to the photographer. Now, the actor's manager, Shashi Sinha, has pushed back on that narrative, saying Govinda had nothing to apologise for and that the security team was simply doing its job.

Govinda did not apologise to the paparazzo, says manager

Govinda was attending the grand finale of an event as the chief guest. As he exited the venue, a large crowd of fans and paparazzi gathered around him. In the commotion, one of his security guards reportedly pushed video journalist Sohel Fidai while trying to manage the crowd, triggering a heated argument. Govinda stepped in before things could escalate further, was seen telling his security guard that the paparazzo was "his friend," and urged everyone to calm down. Now, Govinda's manager Shashi Sinha spoke to News9 Live to offer a different version of events, firmly denying that the actor had apologised. He said, "It was not Govinda's fault, so why would he apologise? Govinda was attending a beauty pageant, while the paparazzi wanted an interview in a restricted area.
The security staff were simply doing their duty."He added, "Security personnel do not always know who is who at crowded events. They stopped him, and an argument followed. Such things happen. Even I have been stopped at events before, but there is no need to create a scene because they are only doing their job."

What did the paparazzo say?

Fidai, the photographer at the centre of the altercation, confirmed that the trouble started when security guards pushed him. However, he had no complaints about the actor himself. As per the report, he said, "Govinda was warm and polite, and after all that, he gave me a byte while getting into his car."
