2015 Predictions: The year ahead for Bollywood celebs

It’s that time of the year when most of us would be interested to know how 2015 will treat us. A Bollywood fanatic and a movie buff will go even further and be eager to know how 2015 will fare for movie stars. Astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi explains what the year 2015 holds for our Bollywood stars.

Aamir Khan (March 14, 1965): Mr Perfectionist is ruled by number 5 (Mercury), number 3 (ruler Jupiter – Pisces) and number 2 (Moon). After creating history once again with PK with the genius Rajkumar Hirani, and setting new benchmarks as far as box-office numbers are concerned, Aamir may not have a release for some time now, but his television show and other public appearances will keep him in the news all through the year.

Salman Khan (December 27, 1965): The nation’s most loved star, Salman is ruled by number 9 (Mars), number 8 (ruler Saturn – Capricorn) and number 6 (Venus). Both his next releases Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Eid and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo in Diwali will be sure shot blockbusters. Although he might date someone special, he will remain single and happy in 2015.

Shah Rukh Khan (November 2, 1965): Influenced by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu) and number 9 (Scorpio – ruler Mars), 2015 seems to be an excellent phase for the Baadshah. As usual, he will be winning a host of awards for Happy New Year. His Independence Day release Fan will do roaring business and break records of his own previous films. There will be happier times on the personal front as well, whereas his IPL T20 cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders' performance in the upcoming season will also be encouraging.

Hrithik Roshan (January 10, 1974): Hrithik is primarily ruled by the most powerful star – the Sun (number 1). Being a Capricorn, he is also ruled by number 8 (Saturn) and his destiny number adds to number 5 (Mercury). After gaining strength from his much-publicised separation with wife Sussanne, Hrithik will be now be entering the 42nd year of his life which indicates that cupid may strike again and HR may find the love of his life. On the film front, he may not have a release in 2015, but his next pet project Mohenjo Daro (2016) with none other than Ashutosh Gowarikar will keep him busy throughout the year.

Ranbir Kapoor (September 28, 1982): Ranbir comes under the direct influence of number 1 (Sun), number 6 (Venus – Libra) and number 3 (Jupiter). In his 33rd year, it is a good time for Ranbir, both on the professional and personal front. His compatibility with Katrina (July 16, 1983) is superb and they would finally come out in the open about their relationship. His soon-to-release - Roy and Jagga Jasoos will do decent business, but it will be Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet which will catapult him to the higher league.

Deepika Padukone (January 5, 1986): Deepika is ruled by number 5 (Mercury), number 8 (ruler Saturn – Capricorn) and number 3 (Jupiter). In the beginning of the year itself, her string of hits will continue with Piku and then the two biggies Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani towards the year end will help her continue the winning streak. But on the personal front, it will still be the waiting game for the leggy lass, as it will take another year or so for her to find the perfect match.

Katrina Kaif (July 16, 1983): Katrina is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu) twice and number 8 (Saturn). After the success of her last release Bang Bang, all her forthcoming movies namely Jagga Jasoos, Phantom and Fitoor will either be hits or superhits. She will also consolidate her relationship with beau Ranbir Kapoor by the end of 2015.

Vidya Balan (January 1, 1978): Vidya is ruled by number 1 (Sun), number 8 (Saturn – Capricorn) and her ‘destiny’ number adds up to number 9 (Mars). Vidya will now be entering the 38th year of her life which indicates ‘good news’ on the personal front. She is likely to conceive by the end of the year. On the movie front; the only film on hand which she currently has is Hamari Adhuri Kahani which will be appreciated for her superb performance as usual; but the box-office figures aren't likely to be as enticing.

Amitabh Bachchan (October 11, 1942): This legendary superstar is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu), number 6 (Libra – ruler Venus) and his compound number adds up to number 1 (Sun). Being in his 73rd year, Big B will need to focus on his health. On the film front, his next release Shamitabh will fail to attract the audience; but Piku will click with its target audience.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (November 1, 1973): Ash is ruled by number 1 (Sun), number 9 (Mars – Scorpio) and number 5 (Mercury). Being in her 42nd year indicates she will ‘strike back’ with a vengeance. Although her work in her comeback project Jazbaa will be liked by everyone; the film might not do as well as expected.

Ajay Devgn (April 2, 1969): Ajay is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu), number 9 (Mars – Aries) and number 4 (Rahu). After delivering a hit with the recent Action Jackson; he may not have a release in the upcoming year; but he will be working hard on his next ambitious project Shivaay.

Saif Ali Khan (August 16, 1970): Saif is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu), number 1 (ruler Sun – Leo) and number 5 (Mercury). In his 45th year, delivering three consecutive flops in a row; Saif will get a breather with his upcoming film, Phantom. On the health front, he needs to be careful especially till August, but on the brighter side, his bond with begum Kareena will only grow during this time.

Akshay Kumar (September 9, 1967): Akshay is ruled by number 9 (Mars) and number 5 (Mercury) twice. His next set of releases - Baby, Gabbar, Brothers and Singh Is Bling will do decent business. Also, he will be able to give time to his family and make a huge investment in a premium property.

Priyanka Chopra (July 18, 1982): Priyanka is ruled by number 9 (Mars) twice and numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu – Cancer). She will have to share the credit for the success of Dil Dhadakne Do with co-stars Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor, but it will be her role as Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani which will win her accolades from all quarters. While matters related to the heart wouldn't get a head start even this year, she may meet someone interesting enough before the year comes to an end.

Kareena Kapoor Khan (September 21, 1980): ‘Bebo’ (as she is fondly called) is ruled by number 3 (Jupiter) twice and number 5 (ruler Mercury – Virgo). She also has a slight cusp of Libra (number 6 – Venus). In her 35th year, her first priority will be Saif and giving him company. On the film front, her next big release Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman Khan will put her back in the top bracket.

Ranveer Singh (July 6, 1985): Ranveer is ruled by number 6 (Venus), numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu – Cancer) and number 9 (Mars). After the debacle of his last release, Kill Dil, he will be back in form with the success of Dil Dhadakne Do towards mid-year.


Abhishek Bachchan (February 5, 1976): Junior B is ruled by number 5 (Mercury), number 8 (ruler Saturn – Aquarius) and number 3 (Jupiter). After the success of Happy New Year, Abhi will majorly be in his 40th year which will give him mixed bag of results. While he will be making money in endorsements, his next solo release, All Is Well might not find much patronage.

Shahid Kapoor (February 25, 1981): Shahid is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu), number 3 (ruler Jupiter – Pisces) and number 1 (Sun). After tasting critical acclaim with Haider, his 35th year may prove to be a bit of a dampener and will affect his upcoming projects Shaandaar and Farzi. Also, he will have to still wait before he encounters true love and meets someone worthwhile.

Bipasha Basu (January 7, 1979): This Bengali bombshell is ruled by numbers 2 and 7 (Moon and Ketu) twice and number 8 (ruler Saturn – Capricorn). Entering the 37th year of her life, she will face a jolt with the failure of her film Alone in the beginning of the year itself.
