Deepika Padukone's BFFs in Bollywood

Actress Deepika Padukone, whose upcoming film 'Padmavati', has been plagued by controversies before its release, was spotted at the Tirupati Balaji temple in Tirumala to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
Accompanying her was filmmaker Farah Khan, who directed her in her Bollywood debut 'Om Shanti Om' opposite Shah Rukh Khan that clocked 10 years yesterday. Producer Dinesh Vijan was also spotted with the two.
Deepika was seen dressed in a white and beige embroidered ensemble which she accessorised with heavy golden earrings while Farah and Dinesh opted for purple coloured outfits.
On the professional front, Deepika will be collaborating with Vishal Bhardwaj for the first time in her next film, which will star her 'Piku' co-star Irrfan Khan.

Deepika Padukone recently hosted a party for the tremendous appreciation she has been receiving for the Padmavati trailer and 'Ghoomar.' From industry veterans to newbies everyone was at Deepika's party. The actress who played a perfect host to all personally invited everyone and also looked into all the arrangements at the party.


Everyone had a gala time and were there until early morning. Though it was an impromptu affair, it witnessed the attendance of many Bollywood celebs. Deepika Padukone: I am dependent on Shah Rukh Khan

Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan have shared screen space in three films now, and the two seem to be the best of friends in Bollywood. In an interview with Dnaindia.com, Deepika was quoted saying that she is very dependent on him. The report further quoted her saying that there are a few equations one can rely on, to be there if one is ever stuck or confused about anything, and that SRK is that person in her life.

Farah Khan: It was a dream come true for Deepika Padukone who made her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om. And the actress can't thank filmmaker Farah Khan for a dream debut. Besides a professional relationship, the two ladies share a special bond. In an interview with PTI, Deepika had said that director Farah Khan took very good care of her during the shoot of their second film Happy New Year, especially because of the heavy-weight star cast comprising Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. "During the shooting of Happy New Year, Farah gave me lots of attention because she knew that I am the only girl against four big actors," Deepika said. The actress added that her relationship with the choreographer-turned-director will never change no matter how successful she becomes. "The first time we worked together was in 2007. I was facing the camera for the first time so she was very protective about me. Every time she would ask me - 'Baby have you eaten? Baby are you ok?' So I am her first baby," Deepika said.

Shah Rukh Khan: Deepika Padukone, who debuted opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, says nothing can ever change her equation with the superstar. When the actress had posted the first look of Bajirao Mastani on Instagram, which will clash with SRK-Kajol starrer Dilwale at the box office, the hash tag she used with her post read, "#ChallengeAccepted". [sic] According to a report in PTI, King Khan was apparently not happy with her Chennai Express co-star's attitude. When asked about it, Dippy had said, "I find it really amazing that some picture of my film with a certain hashtag... it's amazing that some connection is found to some completely different film and it is blown out of proportion. I don't think any of these articles will ever come in my way on my equation with Shah Rukh." The actress said it was ironic that when people were reading about the reported miff, Shah Rukh was sending her messages congratulating her on opening her foundation in the field of mental health. "What he and I share is known to us and it is very special. Ironically, when you all were reading this article, he was messaging and congratulating me about my foundation. He was one of the first people I spoke to, while I was thinking about it. He has always been encouraging and supportive," she said.

Ranbir Kapoor: There was a time Deepika Padukone was madly in love with this Kapoor scion. Even after the duo parted their ways, they have remained cordial with each other. Ranveer Singh: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been in the news for their alleged love affair since a long time. They worked together for the first time in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela. The duo made for an interesting onscreen jodi and an even more interesting one off it. They have been spotted together several times, but always remained in denial about their alleged relationship. But this year has indeed had a very special beginning for Deepika. Priyanka Chopra: Deepika Padukone is friends with Priyanka Chopra. The duo even appeared together on Koffee with Karan and they seemed to be all praise for each other. PeeCee featured in an 'item song' in Deepika's film Goliyon Ki Raasleela: Ram Leela and is currently shooting for Bajirao Mastani, which also features Deepika. According to a report on Indianexpress.com, the two seemed to bond well on the sets of this Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and were often spotted laughing and chatting on sets. According to a PTI report, Priyanka even said that if she had to do a film, it would most certainly be with Deepika.

Shahana Goswami: Deepika has been friends with Shahana since the beginning of their careers. According to Hindustantimes.com, the two actresses even scuba-dive together, hang out and share their innermost secrets. In the interview, Deepika had said that Shahana is her best friend. Dippy has maintained that being in this industry, one cannot plan when friends will come in their lives and when they will move out. Shahana happened to be her co-star in one of her films and they became good friends. Deepika further revealed that Shahana is the first person she calls when she is back in Mumbai.
