Shah Rukh Khan did not want to use 'Gerua' song?

Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's latest love song from 'Dilwale' is winning hearts but lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya says the superstar was initially sceptical about the word 'Gerua'. Picturised on the iconic pair of Bollywood, 'Gerua', penned by Bhattacharya, features Shah Rukh and Kajol romancing in the backdrop of scenic visuals of Iceland.

"Initially Shah Rukh was sceptical about the word 'Gerua'. It is not a commonly used word in film songs so he thought will it work, will it be accepted, how will the audience react to it. He liked the word and said it's nice to hear but just that it is used less," Bhattacharya said.

At the song launch of the first song of Dilwale, Kriti Sanon had a few special moments. Dilwale song ‘Gerua’: Interesting facts

The iceberg scene: The song 'Rang de tu...' is surely a visual treat. Filled with SRK-Kajol's magic and sizzling chemistry, the song makes sure that you fall in love all over again. The song has been shot at various locations, which were, at times, difficult for the cast to shoot at. Talking about the iceberg scene, Kajol said, "We were turning black-and-blue while shooting the scene due to the cold. Our colour had actually turned blue by the end of the day. The colour of the scene was actually our colour. Once the scene was shot, we were covered with more than three blankets, an overcoat, and what not. Our lips turned blue by the end of the scene."

The aircraft scene: Kajol's black and orange outfit on the broken aircraft is the 'wow' factor of the song. The scenes are breathtakingly shot on a broken plane. Shah Rukh Khan narrated the story behind the stranded plane. He said "Long, long ago, a plane had to make an emergency landing near the sea and no one from the plane was dead or injured. Fortunately, the landing was safe and the captain of the plane was lauded for his presence of mind. The plane has not moved since then, and now the place is treated like a museum."

The mountain scene: The contrast in this scene is awesome! With Kajol in a red saree on a green hilltop, romancing Shah Rukh who’s wearing black and blue, the scene is a burst of colour that is rather pleasing to the eyes. Shah Rukh recalled, “Our legs were actually tied during the scene; our legs were pinned down with ropes so that we get a grip and are able to do the moves on top of the hill. That was challenging for us, but the scene came out well. Though there were some issues, the production team took all the measures to ensure safety. Rohit Shetty said that 'Gerua' is his first out-and-out romantic song.

The water scene: The water scene, where Shah Rukh and Kajol are seen standing at the centre with nothing beside them was also an interesting one to shoot. Shah Rukh Khan said, "We all had to finish the shoot at the earliest, and Rohit, along with his team, had got helicopters for the scene because nothing apart from us was to be seen in the scene. So, very efficiently, the scene was shot from the helicopters. Same was done for the iceberg scenes, where nothing apart from us and those icebergs are visible. All-in-all, shooting this song was an experience!"
