In an exclusive interview with TOI, Yuvraj Singh's mother, Shabnam has revealed that she and Yuvraj spent hours choosing the right ring for Hazel Keech. She further added that they chose a stunning solitaire ring for Hazel and because Yuvi wanted to surprise her, Shabnam did not accompany the couple to Bali. On being asked what did she really like in Hazel, Yuvraj's mother replied that it was Hazel's unconditional love for Yuvraj Singh that she liked the most.

Less than a fortnight after walking in together to attend Harbhajan Singh’s reception in Delhi, and shortly after Bhajji and Yuvraj exchanging witty one-liners online on playing it straight here on, Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech got engaged in a private ceremony in Bali on Diwali. According to reports, Yuvraj’s manager, Aneesh Gautam, has confirmed the news. He says, “Yes, Yuvraj got engaged in Bali, and the ceremony was attended by very few people. His mother wasn’t present, she’s in Mumbai at the moment. Yuvraj will be back from Bali to Mumbai late on Thursday night and will fly to Baroda Friday morning for a match.” He adds that the wedding date is not yet fixed. Sources suggest that it will be early next year.
