Aimed at encouraging people to build more walking into their daily routine, Max Bupa, a health insurance company, is all set to host Walk For Health, tomorrow, November 4. As a part of the health initiative, Max Bupa carried out several programmes across city’s corporate parks, joggers parks, schools and heritage sites over the last few weeks, bringing to fore the importance of walking.
The company received an overwhelming number of registrations from Delhiites, and the event is expected to have elders, youngsters as well as kids joining in the fun.
At Central Secretariat Sports Grounds, walkers will be joined by celebrities, renowned public figures and city’s popular RJs. Added attractions for kids include Pogo’s champ
Chhota Bheem, live music and DJ, stilt walkers, zumba dance by experts and free health check up, besides a host of other surprises. The event will be aired live on Times Now along with live updates on a leading radio station.
Manasije Mishra, chief executive (designate), Max Bupa said, “Seeing thousands of people come together for the initiative is a demonstration of their willingness to move towards a healthier lifestyle. We aim at spreading awareness about the benefits of walking and encourage people to include more walking into their everyday life to enhance their overall wellbeing.”
Participants are expected to report on November 4, at the following venue by 6.30am at Ground No: 3, Central Secretariat Sports Grounds, Vinay Marg, Chanakyapuri, Delhi - 110021.
