Fans protest at Diljit Dosanjh's concert

According to the DNA report, during one of Diljit Dosanjh's recent sold-out shows, some audience members were seen raising flags in apparent protest against the singer. Diljit did not ignore the demonstration. He addressed the protesters directly, in Punjabi, explaining that he went on the American talk show not to promote his music or films but to draw national and international attention to Punjab, something he said mainstream Indian media consistently fails to do.

Diljit Dosanjh's response to the protesters

Addressing the crowd in Punjabi, he said, "We love Punjab. Whichever platform I go to, I always talk about Punjab.
I always said that the national media doesn't talk about us. The channels I go to, I talk about Punjab. I didn't talk about my songs. I didn't promote anything. I went to that channel for the sake of Punjab."He also made clear that he and his team had provided aid to flood-affected areas in Punjab and that no protest would slow him down. Delivering one of the night's most electric moments, he roared at the stadium, "Jitne jhande dikhane, dikhao."The crowd erupted in cheers, and the moment quickly went viral across social media.

How did fans react online?

Diljit's fearless stand won him a fresh wave of admiration on the internet, with fans rallying behind him in large numbers. A person commented, "Can Diljit go back to the flood area and highlight progress from his contribution?" Another one added, "Thanks a lot @diljitdosanjh. Everyone discriminates against Punjab. Stand with Punjab. Sikhi promote karo. Save Punjab." One comment read, "Proud of you @diljitdosanjh. True Punjabi will always love you. Kuch anpad lok ae sab karde nahii samajh sakde. Ohna de karobar hate faila ke chal rahe."
