The appearance also saw Diljit speak about the historical significance of the Aura Tour's opening show in Vancouver, his previous 'Tonight Show' appearance in 2024, and performing at Coachella in 2023.
Dosanjh also opened up about the emotional significance of performing to a sold-out crowd of 55,000 at a Vancouver stadium, just two kilometres from where, in 1914, Indian immigrants were denied entry into Canada.
Speaking about the historic weight of the moment, Diljit said, "The stadium we did in Vancouver, like, in 1914, when our people came to Canada for the first time, they weren't allowed to enter. And that stadium is just two kilometers away from the place of the Guru Nanak Jahaz, Komagata Maru incident."
He then added with quiet pride, "So yeah, that's a big thing for us now: 55,000 people in one stadium there. It's just two kilometers from where you didn't allow us to come, and now we are here, man."
