Singer KK or Krishnakumar Kunnath has been a part and parcel of the lives of people growing up in the late 90s and 2000s with songs like ‘Pal’, ‘Yaaron Dosti’ ‘Aankhon me Teri’, ‘Zara Si Dil Me’ and many more. He even recorded two songs for two Bengali movies. One was with Jeet Ganguli for the movie ‘Fande Poriya Boga Kande Re’. In 2019, KK recorded a soulful Hindi number but this time, for a Bengali film ‘Password’ starring Dev.

The song 'Aye Khuda', as the music composer Savvy calls his creation a rock ballad, was the last song that KK recorded for the Tollywood industry.
“I was anxious about directing him. I never spoke to him before he came to record the song. We sat and discussed the song at length. I explained how I would like the song to be sung. He obliged and went for the recording. And of course, he created magic with his voice,” said Savvy.
“The way I directed, he tried to follow every bit of it. He had no tantrums, so down to earth. He liked my composition and really wanted to record another Bengali song. I was trying to compose something for him, but, my bad luck!” he added. “During the recording, there were so many journalists, photographers and videographers waiting to speak to him. After the recording, which didn’t take much time, he interacted with them, and clicked selfies. He was so patient and had such a charming personality. “This is such a huge loss for the music fraternity. I am still in a state of denial,” Savvy exclaimed.
Singer KK passed away hours after a concert in Kolkata on Tuesday. He was brought dead to a nearby hospital in Alipore.
