BLACKPINK ends tour on emotional note; fans speculate if the group is disbanding: ‘This is their last concert as blackpink’
BLACKPINK had made headlines last year after they made an official comeback for the first time in three years. This was followed by the commencement of their ‘DEADLINE’ world tour. Now, almost a year later, as the tour came to an end, the members said goodbye to fans in an emotional statement. Their words, however, have prompted a lot of fans to believe that the group may be coming to an end soon.
As they performed the final song of the night, all of the members of the K-pop girl group were seen to be getting teary eyed and emotional in fan videos taken during the concert. Another fan posted Rose’s entire speech that she gave to end the tour, which is what prompted the rumors.
In her speech, the ‘APT’ singer said, “This final show of our Blackpink tour was so precious. I truly enjoyed every moment until the very end, and I hope Blinks could feel our happiness too. Just as Jisoo said, our new song is coming next month, so please look forward to it. Most importantly, Blackpink and Blinks have become the source of my strength for the future. I love Blackpink so, so much. I hope to be a group that is meaningful to all of you. We forever young.”
One fan’s post read, “my f****** god they’re actually disbanding and this is their last concert as blackpink (three crying face emojis),” while another person shared, “the fact that no one knows for how long blackpink renewed their contract so they can just like disband out of nowhere tomorrow morning and none of us would ever see it coming.”
However, many other fans remained optimistic and pointed out that all of the singers always cry at the end of their tours and that the speech is not a reason to get worried about disbandment yet.
A netizen shared, “one day blackpink will have to disband no matter what but what i pray from the deepest of my soul is may the love of these girls for each other remain the same forever. like they’ll see each other and feel safe thinking it’s their HOME, their FAMILY (teary smile emoji and white heart emoji).”
Their last album, ‘Born Pink’, was released in 2022, and had generated a lot of buzz and excitement amongst fans. This will be the group’s first official album in over three years, since after 2022, all of them went on a hiatus and started focusing on their solo careers.
