Actress Rukmini Vasanth teases Hindi film debut after ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ success; says, a ‘lot of conversations that have been happening’
‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ star Rukmini Vasanth is currently enjoying a strong phase in her career after her impactful performances as princess Kanakavathi. As per the latest reports, she is now looking to make her mark in the Hindi film industry.
After the success of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, Rukmini Vasanth revealed that she has been receiving several scripts and project proposals. She shared that this phase feels exciting and overwhelming in a good way.
Talking about her future plans, the actress said that she is eager to challenge herself as a performer. She shared her desire to work in new spaces and emotions through different languages. She added that she is excited to “stretch that muscle” and hopes to soon get an opportunity to perform in Hindi, a language she has not fully explored yet as an actor.
“I am kind of excited to stretch that muscle because I have not really had the opportunity to emote yet in the language. God willing, that will be something I get to embark on very soon,” she said.
Speaking of her upcoming projects, Rukimini Vasanth is also working on Jr NTR and Prashanth Neel’s upcoming action drama, rumored to be named ‘Dragon’.

Scripts pour in after ‘Kantara’ success
While speaking with Hindustan Times, the ‘Sapta Sagaradaache Ello: Side A and Side B’ actress spoke about her growing popularity and the kind of offers she has been receiving.After the success of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, Rukmini Vasanth revealed that she has been receiving several scripts and project proposals. She was also asked about the possibility of doing a Hindi-language film, she teased that discussions are underway. “There are a lot of conversations that have been happening and it’s something that I’m very, very excited about,” she said.A longstanding connection with Hindi
The ‘Ace’ actor also shared that she has been familiar with Hindi since childhood and has always been exposed to Hindi films. According to her, her family background played an important part in this.
