Director M.G. Srinivas wishes success to team 'Thimmarusu', thanks Jr. NTR for launching the trailer

The trailer of 'Thimmarusu: Assignment Vali' the official Telugu remake of M.G. Srinivas' 'Birbal Trilogy - Case 1', was recently released online to much fanfare. A legal mystery thriller at its heart, the new film's trailer managed to not only charm the digital audience but also promised an efficient remake that does justice to its source material. 'Thimmarusu' has been directed by Sharan Koppisetty and produced by Mahesh S. Koneru and Yaraboli Srujan with Satyadev Kancharana playing Srinivas' counterpart in the film.

To make things even more special, the team of 'Thimmarusu' got Telugu superstar Jr. NTR to launch the trailer who took to social media yesterday to do the honors and also wish success to the whole team. In the same spirit, actor-director M.G. Srinivas too came on Twitter a while ago to thank Jr. NTR for the gesture and also congratulate the team for its grand efforts behind the trailer. "Gud luck for #July30," wrote Srinivas in his tweet as 'Thimmarusu' makes its way into theatres on the 30th of July, 2021.



The Kannada original, titled 'Birbal Trilogy Case 1: Finding Vajramuni', was written and directed by M.G. Srinivas who also starred as the film's lead; the film also saw actor Rukmini Vasanth make her acting debut. The film is the first installment of the intended trilogy and owing to its status as a "sleeper success", especially on OTT platforms, Srinivas and Co. are now being implored to bring out the other two installments as promised. M.G. Srinivas' next directorial venture is the rom-com 'Old Monk' wherein he also plays the lead.
