These established actors are all set to test out new waters, albeit with some clout on their side already
The Kannada Film Industry's newfound national fame is only getting bigger with time. There's more money, scrutiny, and an influx of talent today than ever before, and the industry's rich with both opportunity and occupation which has urged superstars from foreign shores, so to speak, to test out their luck here. With the likes of Prabhas and Jacqueline Fernandez, both bonafide stars in their respective territories, soon making their debuts in Kannada, let's take a quick look at the list of already-established actors who are venturing into this new and exciting world called Sandalwood.

Prabhas
The "Darling" of the Telugu Film Industry rose to unprecedented heights post the success of 'Baahubali' and is reckoned to be the biggest actor in the country today. So, following the natural order, Prabhas has joined forces with Prashanth Neel, a superstar director in his own right, to offer their combined fans a magnum movie called 'Salaar'. The film will lend Prabhas a platform to make his bonafide debut in Kannada and one does hope that the star finds his niche here as well. Alongside, Prabhas also has the pan-Indian release 'Radhe Shyam' too in the offing, which is going to release in five different languages including Kannada.

Jacqueline Fernandez
The most stunning Jacqueline Fernandez will feature in a very special role of Gadang Rakkamma in Anup Bhandari's 'Vikrant Rona' and trigger-start her Sandalwood career. While the actress was mainly roped in for an item number in the film, the makers do reveal that she has a slightly bigger role to play and will be integral to the film's story. The behind-the-scenes pictures circulating online do suggest that Jacqueline has managed to infuse a lot of life and colour into the project and take it to a whole new level.

Shruti Haasan
Tagging along with Prabhas is the Tamil/Telugu star/musician Shruti Haasan who will be embarking on a new journey with Neel's 'Salaar'. Shruti, thanks to her grand lineage, has been able to create strong impressions across film industries - Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi - and is known to dabble with new things throughout her career. Just as with Prabhas, the fans here would certainly wish to see much more of her post 'Salaar'.

Priya Prakash Varrier
The "wink" girl catapulted to tremendous fame overnight by virtue of which she is now in the reckoning as one of the most sought-after budding stars. Having already dabbled with both Telugu and Hindia cinema, the Malayalam actress will soon make her Kannada debut with 'Vishnu Priya', opposite Shreyas Manju.

Madonna Sebastian
Popular Malayalam/Tamil actor Madonna Sebastian will star opposite Sudeep in her debut, which comes in the form of 'Kotigobba 3'. Having made her debut in 2015 with the cult hit 'Premam', Madonna only from strength to strength and forged a career in both Tamil and Telugu film industries. Madonna also has two credits as a singer to her name.

Aftab Shivdasani
The ever-charming and beaming Aftab Shivdasani has forged quite a bond with Kiccha Sudeep over the course of his Kannada debut. Alongside Madonna, Aftab too is slated to make his official Sandalwood debut with 'Kotigobba 3' and will certainly hope to find veritable success in the industry. His 'Masti' co-star Vivek Oberoi too has featured in a couple of interesting Kannada films and it wouldn't be such a bad idea to spot them together again in a Kannada film, would it?
