Sandalwood gets its own Rajini Kanth
He is literally following in the footsteps of his famous namesake, south superstar Rajinikanth. Mysore boy Rajini Kanth (yes, the young actor shares his name with the legend), who has been associated with the theatre troupe Natana, has started to make inroads into Sandalwood. The actor is currently busy with three movies — Duniya Vijay’s Jackson, Kismath, directed by Vijay Raghavendra, and Kush Kushile.

The actor says, “In Jackson, I essay a role called Sapoota, a friend of Duniya Vijay who gives suggestions and guides him during his tough situations. The major portion of the movie has been shot during night hours, as per the demand of the script. It was a great learning experience working with Duniya Vijay. In Kismath, I play a small-time thief. I have also signed Kush Kushile which will go on the floor soon.”
“My work in theatre has been instrumental in shaping my filmi career. The directors, who have noticed my performance in plays, have given these film offers. I will continue to work in theatre,” he signs off.
