Yash confirms ‘Toxic’ postponed from June 4 release; new global date to be announced soon as team eyes 'fullest potential'
Yash shares a heartfelt note on the film’s journey and expectations
Explaining the reason behind the delay, Yash shared an emotional note about the film and its journey. He said: "There are films we make, and then there are films that remind us why we fell in love with cinema. 'Toxic' has been one such journey. Presenting our film at CinemaCon and witnessing the overwhelming global response reaffirmed what we have always believed: this film deserves to reach its fullest potential worldwide." His words highlight the team’s aim to give the film a proper global release and reach a wider audience.
Earlier delays, pending work, and technical factors behind the decision
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the film has already seen one postponement due to global tensions in the Middle East, as the makers wanted a smooth international rollout.
To add to this, it is claimed that some post-production work, including CGI, remains unfinished. There have also been whispers of a few reshoots and extra time needed to get the film’s final cut right. These may be the reasons for the latest delay.
'Toxic' new release window awaited as fans expect a grand launch
Since the June 4 release date is no longer an option, focus has transferred to the new one, and the announcement is anticipated in the coming days. Reports suggest that the film could arrive later this year, possibly aiming for a bigger window.
