It’s official! Dileep confirms the return of ‘CID Moosa’ as the film clocks 20!

Dileep starrer blockbuster ‘CID Moosa’ clocks 20 today (Jul 4). The action-comedy thriller directed by Johny Antony has completed 20 years since its initial release. On the special occasion, Dileep has confirmed that his character Moolamkuzhiyil Sahadevan aka CID Moosa will get a spin-off, and the film will happen soon!
Dileep took to his social media handle to share a glimpse of ‘CID Moosa’ and said, “Moosa is Returning Soon 🙏, 20 years of CID Moosa#CIDMoosa.”

Meanwhile, recently Johny Antony had hinted that ‘CID Moosa’ will get a sequel soon. Speaking to a media outlet, he divulged that the discussion regarding the possibility of a sequel is happening.
Helmed by Johny Antony, ‘CID Moosa’ was released on July 4, 2003. The film was scripted by Udaykrishna-Sibi K Thomas duo. Dileep, and Bhavana Menon played the lead roles, while actors Ashish Vidyarthi, Murali, Jagathy Sreekumar, Harisree Asokan, Cochin Haneefa, Sharat Saxena, Captain Raju, Salim Kumar, Oduvil Unnikrishnan, Sukumari, Paravoor Bharathan, Subbalakshmi, Indrans, Bindu Panicker, Vijayaraghavan, Kunchan, and Abu Salim some of the key roles in the film. ‘CID Moosa’ was a humungous success at the box office. The film also became the second highest grossing film in 2003. ‘CID Moosa’ continues to hold a great amount of revisiting value, despite 20 years of its initial release.
