Kayadu Lohar is the ‘soul’ of Tovino Thomas’ ‘Pallichattambi’; Character POSTER out

The makers of Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Pallichattambi’ have introduced the leading lady - Kayadu Lohar. On Monday, February 2, they dropped the character poster and said that she is the ‘soul’ of the film. In the poster, the actress looks like a village belle, decked up in a saree, with braided hair, and her look completed with a bindi.

“Every story has a heartbeatIntroducing, the soul of our world ,” the makers said, launching the poster.

Kayadu Lohar too shared the poster and captioned, “And then, there was love... Love for a character, for a world, and for the soul of Pallichattambi. Worldwide release on April 9, 2026.”

What you should know about ‘Pallichattambi’

Starring Tovino Thomas, Pallichattambi is helmed by Dijo Jose Antony. The film is scripted by S Suresh Babu. The upcoming film features Tovino Thomas in a never-before-seen avatar. The film is said to be set in the 1950s–60s. Featuring Tovino Thomas and Kayadu Lohar in the lead roles, the film also has actors Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, and Prashanth Alexander in supporting roles.

On the technical front, the cinematography of ‘Pallichattambi’ is handled by Tijo Tomy. The music is done by Jakes Bejoy. Sreejith Sarang is the editor, and the production design is done by Dileep Nath. Rajesh Menon is the art director. The costumes are designed by Manjusha Radhakrishnan. The film is being released in five languages, including Malayalam. ‘Pallichattambi’ will hit theatres worldwide on April 9.
