Mallika Sukumaran on 'Bha.Bha.Ba.' dialogue controversy; 'Dhyan said what was written'
A dialogue in Dileep's film 'Bha.Bha.Ba' has sparked controversy, with viewers linking it to a past statement by actor Prithviraj concerning the actress assault case. Mallika Sukumaran confirmed the dialogue's intention was to remind people, asserting that such statements by actors will eventually be corrected.
'Bha.Bha.Ba' is a film directed by Dhananjay Shankar with Dileep playing the lead role. The movie came to theatres with a lot of hype. Many people expected it to do well. But after release, the film did not get strong support from the audience. Later, the film arrived on OTT platforms a few days ago. Even after the OTT release, the film is still facing criticism. Among all these discussions, one dialogue from the film became a big talking point. That single line started a fresh round of debate. People began connecting it to an old real-life incident connected with the actress assault case.

The dialogue that started the discussion

In 'Bha.Bha.Ba', Dhyan Sreenivasan plays the character Godson Ancharakandi. In one scene, he says a dialogue that caught people’s attention. The dialogue goes like this: “My reaction to this incident will be raised inside. After that, I expect a statement or response from their side. If that does not happen, then I have a few things to tell you.”After the OTT release, a section of viewers on social media pointed out that this dialogue sounded very similar to something Prithviraj had said to the media years ago. That statement was made at the time when an actress was attacked.
Soon, allegations came up saying that the dialogue in 'Bha.Bha.Ba' was created based on Prithviraj’s statement. That statement was reportedly made before an AMMA meeting that took place eight years ago.

Mallika Sukumaran breaks her silence

Mallika Sukumaran spoke about this issue in an interview given to The Story. She did not avoid the question. When she was asked if there was any intention behind placing this dialogue in the film, she replied clearly, “Of course. The aim was to remind people once again.”She then spoke openly about the film and the reactions it received. She said, “People have already said that the film itself did not do much good. Everyone is giving their own opinions. Whether the film had quality or not, whether it made money or not, that is their concern.”She also spoke directly about the dialogue and how it was used in the film. “A dialogue once said by Prithviraj is now being unnecessarily made to be spoken by Dhyan Sreenivasan. I said that it must have been the producer and the director who made him say it. Dhyan only said what was written.”

Mallika Sukumaran reacts strongly

Mallika Sukumaran continued with strong words. She said, “If even one person had some sense, they could have said, ‘Sir, there is no need to say this dialogue now.’ When everyone is adjusting things based on friendship, what relevance does Prithviraj have there?”She also made it clear that this issue does not affect Prithviraj personally. “This is not a problem for Prithviraj at all. Whether Dhyan says it today or even bigger actors say it tomorrow, I believe that the words and actions of everyone who is speaking like this will have to be corrected.”She ended her thoughts firmly by saying, “I believe that 100 percent. In the end, it will come to a point where they will say, ‘What was said was a mistake, it should not have been said.’”'Bha.Bha.Ba.' has Dileep, Mohanlal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Dhyan Sreenivasan in important roles. The movie received mixed reviews.
