‘18+’ centers around Akhil (played by Nasleen) and Athira (played by Meenakshi), a lovestricken teenage couple. Upon Athira's parents discovering their relationship, Akhil and Athira choose to escape, with the assistance of their friends, the Saaf Brothers. The film's captivating initial segment illustrates the boys' comical efforts to orchestrate the elopement, with the seasoned ally Rajesh (Binu Pappu) providing his support. The part before the interval, during which they scramble to acquire funds and essential wedding provisions, is notably humorous, thanks to the exceptional camaraderie among the actors.
However, the young couple seems oblivious to the magnitude of the commitment they are about to make. A love story at its core, ‘18+’ also has some chucklesome moments. Nikhila Vimal and Binu Pappu are seen in some pivotal roles in the film.
Arun D Jose, known for helming 'Jo and Jo,' is the director for ‘18+’. The screenplay and dialogues are crafted by Arun D Jose and Raveesh Nath. On the technical side, Satheesh Kurup serves as the Director of Photography (DOP), while Chaman Chakko handles the editing. The music is composed by Christo Xavier, and Nimesh M Thanoor is the art director. Sujith C S takes care of the costumes, while Sinoop Raj is the makeup artist. Sachin Sudhakaran and Hariharan M are responsible for sound design.
