As India celebrates its 77th
Republic Day today, actor
Parvathy Thiruvothu has penned a thought-provoking message. On Monday, January 26, the State-award-winning actor took to her Instagram profile and shared a message that cuts through the noise of our fractured times.
The ‘Ullozhukku’ actor didn’t write down a celebratory message, as most do, but instead provided a reminder of what a true republic actually demands of us.

“Now more than ever, we are called to remember what being a true republic nation means. To remember the power we hold as people of our nation. To stay aware, informed, and fight propaganda and misinformation; let’s unite as one to ensure each and everyone deserves a dignified, respectful life in our country,” Parvathy Thiruvothu said in her note.
Parvathy Thiruvothu also reminded us that, as individuals, it is important to reflect on and work on our core values, and to shed hatred and indoctrination wherever they've taken root in us. “On this Republic Day, I urge you to reflect and work on your core values- and be rid of anything that comes from a place of hatred and indoctrination,” she said.
The actor further noted that the true power lies in each citizen, and we can turn things around. “As a people, each and every individual holds immense power to turn things around. Wield that power for the good of your fellow citizens, to ensure your government delivers safety and security to all. Remember to lead from a place of love!” she said.

On the work front, Parvathy Thiruvothu will be next seen in ‘Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar’. The film went on floors earlier this month. She has reportedly roped in as a cop in the film. Interestingly, this will also mark her first time in the garb of a police officer. The makers launched the first look last year. Parvathy Thiruvothu shared the poster and captioned, "When the eyes deceive, who decides who the criminal is? Here’s the first look of Pradhama Drishtiyal Kuttakkar – a tale where perception itself can convict." Helmed by Shahad, the film also has Vijayaraghavan, Mathew Thomas, Sidharth Bharathan, Unnimaya Prasad, and Azeez Nedumangad, in key roles.Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the
