'Peaky Blinders' star Cosmo Jarvis names Mohanlal among favourites; lists 40 acting greats; THIS has a 'Thalavattam' link

British actor Cosmo Jarvis is best known for his roles in 'Peaky Blinders' and 'Shōgun'. Now the talented actor has surprised Malayalam cinema fans with his latest revelation. Jarvis placed the Mollywood superstar Mohanlal among one of his favourite actors in a recent interview.

Talking with Article Magazine, Cosmo Jarvis opened up about the actors who have shaped his craft and inspired his performances. Among a long list of nearly 40 global acting legends, Jarvis included Malayalam superstar Mohanlal.

Jarvis’s list also featured Charlie Chaplin and others such as Bruno Ganz, Anthony Hopkins, Michael Shannon, Gary Oldman, Kathy Bates, and Joaquin Phoenix. But the mention of Mohanlal stood out. This has indeed excited 'Lalettan' fans for all the right reasons.

During the interview, Jarvis also revealed that 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest' is one of his all-time favourite films.

Fans are now pointing out the reason why Jarvis may have noted 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' as his all time favourite as it was later remade in Mollywood as 'Thalavattam' starring Mohanlal in the lead and directed by Priyadarshan.

From indie beginnings to Hollywood recognition

Jarvis began his career voicing short films in 2009. Later he made his screen debut with 'The Naughty Room' in 2012. His breakout role came in 2016 with 'Lady Macbeth'. Since then, he has appeared in over 20 films, including 'Persuasion' and the recently released 'Warfare'.
