Ranam aka Detroit Crossing is one of the most anticipated releases this month, especially with the movie’s title track and visuals encapsulating what the neo-noir thriller shot in the US is all about.
Recently the film’s director
Nirmal Sahadev posted on his social media about how
Prithviraj has been elemental in the making of the film. “People keep telling us it is completely new and fresh, and asking us how we attempted something of that nature? To everyone, the answer is having a supremely creative and supportive team, and a star like Prithviraj Sukumaran on your side offering the space to do exactly what is right for the film.
As a writer/director, I have felt fortunate to have this sort of support from day one, being there as actor, friend and mentor. As we continue with post production, the entire team feels the same vibe. Prithviraj has been an early supporter of
Jakes Bejoy and it was always Jakes’ dream to compose for a Prithviraj film. Ranam is what it is today because of Prithvi’s undeterring commitment to the film and this track is the result of that encouragement.”
The filmmaker also pointed out that the team has finished the post production and is gearing up for the release soon. “We were able to explore our creative talents without any barriers! While we finish post and move towards a release date, we are more and more grateful for the responses and support we are getting. Forever thankful!” he posted.
