Rosshan Andrrews' directorial debut, 'Udayananu Tharam,' starring Mohanlal, is being re-released on February 6. Ahead of the screening, Andrrews honored the late Sreenivasan, crediting him for his filmmaking career. Sreenivasan, who co-wrote and starred in the film, passed away in December 2025. The film's re-release will allow audiences to see Sreenivasan on the big screen again.
Rosshan Andrrews’ debut directorial, ‘Udayananu Tharam’ starring Mohanlal, is set for re-release on February 6. Ahead of the release, the director paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Sreenivasan, who is both the scriptwriter and a lead actor in the film.In a post shared on Instagram, Rosshan Andrrews said that he became a filmmaker because of Sreenivasan. “Srini chetta... because of him, I became a filmmaker,” the director said. Veteran filmmaker-screenwriter-actor Sreenivasan passed away on December 20, 2025.

Rosshan Andrrews also recalled the day he met Sreenivasan, who was accompanied by his son, Vineeth. “The day I first met him, Vineeth was also there. He was the one who came to my room, shook my hand, and said, ‘Roshanetta, this idea is great. The story you told us is superb.’ That one moment changed everything. From there, my journey truly began,” the ‘Udayananu Tharam’ director said.In the absence of Sreenivasan, Vineeth extended wishes for ‘Udayananu Tharam’ re-release. “Vineeth, thank you so much for the support you gave me that day, along with Srini cheta. I will always be grateful. Today, we miss Srini chetta deeply. But once again, we are blessed to watch him on the big screen on February 6th.
