As the year 2023 draws to a close within a few days, actress Santhy Balachandran has penned a note, contemplating and reflecting on how the year unfolded for her. In a note shared on Instagram, Santhy Balachandran said that 2023 has been a year of extremes.

“2023 has been a year of extremes. As difficult as this year has been personally, it has also been a milestone year in my professional journey… This year, I had the privilege of sharing my work in three languages via three characters I have most enjoyed playing. Reshma, Nivi, and Devi — three women whose backgrounds, life worlds, and personas are as different from each other as an actor could wish for,” Santhy Balachandran wrote.

Her note, further reads, “My deepest gratitude to their creators — Rahul Chittella & Arpita Mehta (Gulmohar); Reshma Ghatala, Swathi Raghuraaman & Vinithra Madhavan Menon (Sweet Kaaram Coffee); and Shalini Ushadevi (Ennennum).
