Mammootty and Mohanlal receiving the UAE’s Golden Visa, Narain joining the cast of Kamal Haasan starrer ‘Vikram’ to the untimely demise of chef-producer Noushad, a lot of incidents took place in Malayalam cinema this week. M-Town’s biggest stars Mammootty and Mohanlal received the UAE’s Golden Visas on Monday (Aug 23). The superstars jetted off to Dubai last week and received the visas. The Golden Visa system offers long-term residency possible to foreigners in the UAE. The photos and videos of the duo made headlines for all right reasons.

Actor Narain has joined the cast of the upcoming Tamil movie ‘Vikram’. The movie has Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. Narain has roped in to play a critical role in the film and Kamal Haasan gave a warm welcome on the sets. The shoot is steadily progressing in Tamil Nadu.

Archana Kavi too made headlines this week as she posted a couple of pictures of her fitness journey. The ‘Neelathamara’ actress shared that the lockdown had taken a toll on her and she started overeating and gained weight. The actress decided to take control of her health recently and associated with a trainer online and the results after 15 days itself are humungous. The photos and the actress’ post went viral.

Actress Muktha’s daughter Kiara will follow in her mom’s footsteps and venture into movies soon. The five-year-old munchkin will be debuting as an actor with the upcoming film ‘Pathaam Valavu’. The film has Indrajith Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles and the film is helmed by ‘Mamangam’ director M Padmakumar. The movie is expected to be going on floors soon.

Chef and film producer Noushad passed away on August 27 at the age of 55. Noushad breathed his last at a private hospital in Thiruvalla. M-Town celebs including Mammootty and Mohanlal mourned the untimely demise of Noushad. The late producer has backed some blockbusters including ‘Kazhcha’, ‘Chattambinadu’, ‘Best Actor’, ‘Lion’, ‘Payyans’ and ‘Spanish Masala’ among others. His wife passed away two weeks ago. Noushad is survived by his 13-year-old daughter.
