Tovino tests COVID positive

Tovino Thomas announced on Instagram that he had tested COVID-positive, and said that he was in quarantine, though he was asymptomatic. The actor did not explain how he might have got infected. Sharing the news, he posted, “Hello, as it turns out, I've been tested positive for Covid and am currently in isolation. It was an asymptomatic case, I'm fine and well.So it's been quarantine time for a couple of days now. A few more days to look forward and long about returning to action and entertaining you all. Stay safe everyone. Be back soon.””
Several celeb colleagues, including Dulquer Salmaan, Indrajith, Aju Varghese and Anju Kurian, posted ‘get well soon’ messages. Actor Neha Sharma Iyer, who worked with him on 2017 film Tharagam, shared that she too had just received a positive result. “Just got my report last evening. Sending you healing wishes while taking my steam inhalations now! Happy recovery to us - God speed!” she wrote in the comments.
COVID numbers stand at over 47,000 in Kerala, which recently went to the polls, and cases have crossed over 1,000 in just a day in Ernakulam.
Actors Prithviraj and Gauthami Nair, who is also a neurology researcher at SCT Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, had tested positive a few months back. More recently, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Ahaana Krishna were in quarantine after testing positive.
Tovino has been busy with quite a few projects. His Kala, directed by Rohith VS, released in theatres recently, apart from Minnal Murali, Kannekane, Vazhaku and Naradan, which have been in shoot.
