Tovino's Kala is a 'man vs wild' thriller

Ask him if it's a fantasy like his earlier films and Rohith says, "This film is more of a thriller. It has

man vs wild

as its theme and also touches upon human evolution."

The filmmaker, who has co-scripted Kala with Yadhu Pushpakaran, was set to collaborate with Asif for a relationship drama before the pandemic. However, he confirms that the Tovino-starrer will be his next.

Incidentally, he will also be co-producing the movie with its cinematographer

Akhil George

and Tovino. "When we narrated the script to Tovino, he was immediately on board and that's how we decided to back the film together. It will go on floors soon; we haven't decided the date yet because there is so much uncertainty right now," says Rohith.

The film also has Lal, Ayaal Njanalla fame Divya Pillai and Pathinettam Padi actor Sumesh Moor as part of the cast. "A dog named Bazigar also plays an important role," says the director.
