‘Vaazha’ box office collections day 25: Comedy drama film collects more than Rs 22 crores

The comedy-drama ‘Vaazha - Biopic of a Billion Boys’ continues to impress at the box office as it wraps up its 25th day.

Directed by Anand Menon, the film has managed to collect over Rs 22.31 crores from the Kerala box office, earning Rs 35 lakhs on Sunday, September 08, 2024, according to early estimates from the Sacnilk website.

The movie, which revolves around a group of mischievous boys during their school years and how their rebellious ways carry into adulthood, has received good reviews from audiences. Its blend of humor and heartfelt messaging has drawn consistent crowds to theaters. The Sunday shows witnessed an overall Malayalam occupancy rate of 28.91%, with the evening and night shows seeing particularly strong attendance. Evening shows recorded an impressive 34.67% occupancy, while night shows followed closely with 32.62%.

The film stars Azees Nedumangad, Hashir, Vinayak Mali, and Joemon Jyothir in key roles, and each actor's performance has been lauded for its charm and comedic timing. The story is penned by Vipin Das, known for his work on ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’, and ‘Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey’.

As the film enters its fourth week in theaters, it shows no signs of slowing down, maintaining a steady presence at the box office despite new releases. With strong word-of-mouth and positive reviews continuing to flow, ‘Vaazha’ is expected to mint more numbers at the box office in the coming days.
