After expressing his desire to be associated with Marathi films, Aamir Khan also spoke in Marathi will the media at a recent function. The actor attended the premiere of
Makrand Deshpande's directorial venture 'Saturday Sunday' recently. Speaking about the film, Aamir said, "I love the trailer and feel that it will be a hit among the audience. This marks Makrand's arrival as a director in Marathi films." When asked if he would act in a Marathi film he said, "Yes I absolutely want to act in Marathi film.
I am waiting for the right script. Marathi films are getting recognition across and doing meaningful cinema is what I am looking at. Plus, I am learning Marathi and the experience will only help me polish my Marathi speaking skills."
Hope the right script falls in Aamir's kitty soon as the Marathi audience will love to have him play a Marathi character onscreen.
