'Madhuri': Here’s why you shouldn’t miss watching the much-awaited film

The Swapna Waghmare Joshi directorial, 'Madhuri' is backed Mohsin Akhtar Mir, which also happens to be his first Marathi production venture. It stars Sonali Kulkarni, Sharad Kelkar, Sanhita Joshi, Akshay Kelkar, and Subodh Bhave has created a lot of buzz amongst the audience, making it one of the most anticipated films of the year. Owing to the overwhelming response so far, the makers of the film have decided to release it on November 30. Right from its quirky concept to the stupendous performances of the actors on the big screen, we give you a rundown of reasons as to why you shouldn’t miss watching the film.

Appealing concept

The trailer of 'Madhuri' opens with Sonali Kulkarni who is playing the role of a mathematics professor in St Joseph College. The actress is shown playing a young-at-heart character in the film who is diagnosed as Retrograde Amnesia which leads to loss of memory. The filmmaker Swapna's daughter Sanhita Joshi who is playing the role of Sonali Kulkarni's daughter is seen helping her mother but Sonali's character considers herself as a 20-year-old girl and treats her daughter and her friends as her own friends.

Sonali Kulkarni to play titular role

Director Swapna Waghmare Joshi's first look of his Marathi film, 'Madhuri' has already created a lot of curiosity over its star cast. In the first look teaser, the filmmaker did not reveal the identity of his leading lady who was portrayed playing the guitar. Recently, Sonali Kulkarni shared the video of the film 'Madhuri' from her Twitter handle where she revealed that she will play the titular role in the film. Sonali is seen playing a young-at-heart character in the film who is diagnosed as Retrograde Amnesia which leads to loss of memory.

Sanhita Joshi's debut

After working with top-line actors Swapnil Joshi, Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sharad Kelkar and Sonali Kulkarni, filmmaker Swapna Waghmare Joshi will now launch a new face - her daughter Sanhita Joshi, in her next directorial 'Madhuri'. The proud mum took to her Instagram handle to share the first poster of her film, and captioned it, "My daughter's debut film.. such an overwhelming feeling... you make me so proud @sanhitajoshi .wish you a super successful career and a humble life!"

Swapna Waghmare Joshi's direction

After directing films like ‘Mitwaa’ and 'Savita Damodar Paranjpe', expectations are extremely high on 'Madhuri'. After working with top-line actors Swapnil Joshi, Subodh Bhave, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sharad Kelkar and Sonali Kulkarni, filmmaker Swapna Waghmare Joshi will now launch a new face - her daughter Sanhita Joshi.
