Ravi Jadhav is all set to release Abhijit Panse’s directorial debut ‘Rege’ on the occasion of Independence Day. The film has a tough fight from the Bollywood flick ‘Singham Returns’. Sachin Vaze

Actor Pushkar Shrotri

Pushkar will be seen essaying a real life character of the former police official, encounter specialist Sachin Vaze. Pushkar said, "Sachin is a friend and I met him before we started shooting for the film. I have picked up his mannerisms and style to make the character look real." After the film’s screenings at various international film festivals, Sachin Vaze had personally messaged Pushkar appreciating his work and thanking him for making his name global.

Pradeep Sharma

Actor: Mahesh Manjrekar

Mahesh Manjrekar plays the role of former police official and encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma who has carried out encounters of around 100 criminals. Abhijit Panse had narrated the script to the Pradeep Sharma as well as Sachin Vaze and though the film has not projected them in a very positive light, they didn't object to it because they liked the story. Abhijit told us, “They also said that it is essential that this subject reaches out to maximum youngsters.”

M Bhai

Actor: Santosh Juvekar

Santosh plays the role of underworld don M Bhai who is the face of his gang for people outside. M bhai is extremely powerful and people across all fields know and fear him. DK Shetty

Actor: Viju Mane

Filmmaker Viju Mane who will essay the character of DK Shetty. Sources close to the director said, “The character of DK Shetty is based on real life gangster DK Rao from Chhota Rajan's gang. However, makers are unwilling to speak about it as they want to avoid any negativity around the film.”
