'Desi Romeos' is a masala film: Shafaq Khan

Director Shafaq Khan who has wielded the megaphone for her debut Punjabi film Desi Romeos is upbeat about the venture that is packed with action and entertainment and of course music, an essential element for Punjabi films.
"Desi Romeos is action and entertainment packed masala film portraying life of Punjabi people who love their music." said Shafaq
Desi Romeos, starring singer turned actor Babbu Maan, is a film about six music enthusiast boys in pursuit of their musical dreams.To helm a Punjabi film was altogether a different experience for Shafaq who hails from Mumbai, but after all the hard work on the shoot she can now relate to many of the Punjabi words she has added to her vocabulary.
���������It was a different experience and my knowledge of Punjabi has increased with the film,��������� said Shafaq.
When asked whether Punjabi films copy Bollywood stories, she denied saying it's Bollywood who gets stories from Punjab and its culture.
