Ajith Kumar’s highly-anticipated action entertainer Good Bad Ugly is proving to be a solid box office performer, earning an impressive ₹62.75 crore in India net collections within just three days of its release. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film marks a power-packed return for Ajith and has witnessed strong occupancy, particularly in Tamil Nadu.
Strong Opening
The film opened on a thunderous note on Thursday (April 10) with ₹29.25 crore, including Rs 28.15 crore from Tamil and Rs 1.1 crore from Telugu markets. Though the collections dipped to ₹15 crore on Friday—a nearly 49% drop—the momentum picked up again on Saturday (April 12), with early estimates placing the Day 3 collection at Rs 18.50 crore. This brings the total India net collection to Rs 62.75 crore across all languages.
Good Bad Ugly Movie ReviewTamil Nadu Leads the Way
Good Bad Ugly recorded an overall 61.53% Tamil occupancy on Saturday, with night shows reaching a high 78.99%. In Chennai, the film saw phenomenal numbers, hitting 93% occupancy in night shows and maintaining strong performance throughout the day. Other Tamil regions like Madurai (90% night), Coimbatore (89% night), and Bengaluru (51% night) also contributed significantly to the film’s strong hold.
Telugu Markets Show Modest Response
While the Tamil version continues to dominate, the film’s Telugu version showed relatively subdued performance with an overall 17.22% occupancy on Saturday. However, the multi-language release has helped widen the film’s footprint across southern markets.
