Actor Ajmal Ameer, the anti-hero from Ko, will soon set foot in Tollywood with his villainous act
Actor Ajmal Ameer is yet to recover from the high that his Tamil film Ko gave him, considering the film has already crossed its 200-day mark post release. Incidentally, the Telugu version of Ko was received rather well too. And now, Ajmal is ready to set foot on Tollywood with his official debut, Racha, in which he returns to play the anti-hero alongside actors Ram Charan Teja and Tamanna.

The actor, who is a qualified doctor by profession, earned himself the angry young man image with his role in Myshkin's Anjaathe. Ever since, he has been winning a variety of villainous roles to play. Although Telugu is a relatively new language for Ajmal, he says, 'I think I can do justice to my role. In fact, there was this scene shot on the terrace of Apollo Hospital wherein I was required to mouth a four-page dialogue in a single take. Thankfully, the scene was canned in the first take itself. So much so that many people in the crowd thought I was from Andhra Pradesh! '
Meanwhile, his next Kollywood flick, Kadhirvel is scheduled to hit the screens soon. The film, directed by Venkat, has him essaying the role of a rustic villager who becomes the leader of a gang. 'There is also director Sankar's associate Prabhu Raja Cholan's Karuppampatti where, for the first time in my career, I play a double role,' says Ajmal. 'We plan to begin the shoot of the film's final schedule in Paris by the end of December,' he concludes.
