Actress Trisha is celebrating her birthday on May 4. Turning 39 years old today, Trisha is one of the most prominent actresses and also fondly called as South Queen. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films, though the actress has not given major or mega blockbuster female centric movies, she has acted in movies that have impressed the audience well. The actress has also rejected a few blockbuster movies in Tamil and Telugu, which paved the way for her to choose better movies as well as few movies she missed in her acting career.

The recently released film features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha. In a media interview, director Vignesh Shivan reportedly revealed that the role of Khatija played by Samantha was first offered to Trisha but she had rejected it as her call sheet did not match the timeline. But soon Trisha began shooting for the magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ directed by Mani Ratnam.

Acharya

Featuring Chiranjeevi, ‘Acharya’ was one of the big films in Tollywood. Actress Trisha signed up for the movie, but later walked out citing creative differences. While many criticised her for dropping out, there were praises as the actress choice was her prerogative and it was also reportedly stated that Trisha rejected the script as she did not want to play a role behind the shadow of a male star.

It is reported that Trisha rejected a female centric movie which was scripted by Tollywood director Anil Ravipudi. It was said that the director worked on the script during the COVID lockdown and approached the actress. According to reports, Trisha rejected the movie and did not show much interest.

But when the team approached Trisha to appear in a cameo role for the sequel, the actress rejected it stating that she has creative differences with the crew and wished them. The role was then offered to Aishwarya Rajesh.
