Actors opt to work with different directors to deliver different types of films. But sometimes they also have worked with the same director for more than once or twice on different types of films. Also, there are times when a director has worked with the same actor in his three consecutive films and has marked a hattrick. Let's take a look at times when a Kollywood director worked with the same actor and had delivered a hattrick.

SA Chandrasekhar - Vijay

SA Chandrasekhar introduced his son Vijay as a hero with the film 'Naalaiya Theerpu'. The expert director later worked with the actor in six continuous films 'Rasigan', 'Deva', 'Vishnu', 'Maanbumigu Maanavan', 'Once More', and 'Nenjinile'. But except few, other films received average reviews, and Vijay stopped working with his father again.

Atlee - Vijay

Vijay teamed up with Atlee for the first time for 'Theri' in 2016, the cop action drama was received well and turned out as a super hit one. The young director then teamed up with Vijay for the triple action drama 'Mersal' and dual drama 'Bigil'. All the films were well enjoyed by the fans, and they reached higher heights every time.

Ajith - Siva

Cinematographer turned director Siva became popular after the super hit of 'Siruthai', and he joined hands with Ajith for 'Veeram'. The 2014 action drama portrayed Ajith in a new way, and it turned out as fans' favorite. Siva then worked with Ajith for the films 'Vedalam', 'Vivegam', and 'Viswasam', and the duo had a sentiment by following the title starting with 'V' and ending with 'm'.

Ponram - Sivakarthikeyan

Sivakarthikeyan turned popular after the super hit of the romantic comedy film 'Varutha Padatha Valibar Sangam', which was directed by Ponram. It made the actor team up again and again with the director for 'Rajini Murugan' and 'Seema Raja'. But they followed the same style in all three and didn't work out well for them.

Lakshman - Jayam Ravi

Lakshman and Jayam Ravi teamed up first for the romantic drama 'Romeo Juliet' in 2015. The romance between Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani worked well, and it developed into an enjoyable film. Lakshman then worked with Jayam Ravi in back-to-back films, and interestingly all his three directorial features Jayam Ravi in the lead role.
