‘Jana Nayagan’: Thalapathy Vijay fans express unwavering support as his movie release gets postponed

Fans are disheartened after the Thalapathy Vijay starrer ‘Jana Nayagan’, which was set to release on January 9. Fans have been eagerly waiting to watch the film as it will be the Tamil star’s last cinematic appearance as he pursues his career as a full-fledged politician. Expressing their disappointment over the news, they also shared their support with the actor.

The film’s production house shared an official statement on social media. They explained that the postponement happened due to unavoidable reasons beyond their control. They also assured fans that a new release date would be announced soon. The team requested patience and continued support from the audience.

Fans rally behind Vijay on social media

Fans took to social media to share their support. On X (formerly Twitter) wrote, “This is not the start(first ) and this is not the End. Thalapathy always face this, they think we are struggling but we are just enjoying it and that makes us even stronger. @actorvijay.” Anther wrote, “Will join ours hands together!!!”. One wrote, “Always with him, no matter what. The postponement doesn’t change our faith or love. Jana Nayagan’s release day will be celebrated like a true festival.”

Support pours in from Prabhas fans

Interestingly, support also came from fans of other stars. A Prabhas fan page also wrote, “It is extremely unfortunate that #JanaNayagan is not coming on scheduled date and even more so that it is due to external reasons like censor issues. Movies or the movie industry should not be made scapegoats like this. Can't even imagine how #ThalapathyVijay fans are feeling after this especially given it is the last movie, We wish them to stay strong amid this backlash. On behalf of #Prabhas fans, rooting for #JanaNayakudu to be a blockbuster whenever it releases.”

Makers issue official statement

The makers in their official announcement wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that we share this update with our valued stakeholders and audiences. The release of Jana Nayagan, eagerly awaited on January 9, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control. We deeply understand the anticipation, excitement, and emotions surrounding this film, and this decision has not been an easy one for any of us. The new release date will be announced at the earliest. Until then, we humbly request your patience and continued love.
