K-Town celebs donate to CM's Public Relief Fund
With the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in loss of lives and livelihood, several Kollywood personalities have been donating money to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund to help the government in its fight against the pandemic.
Suriya, Karthi and Sivakumar
Suriya, Karthi and their father Sivakumar gave a cheque of Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister MK Stalin when they met him in person on Wednesday to wish him on his electoral victory.
Ajith Kumar
Ajith Kumar's spokesperson informed that the actor had "donated twenty five lakhs to the Chief minister relief fund today via bank transfer."
AR Murugadoss
Director AR Murugadoss also met the chief minister and contributed Rs 25 lakh towards relief efforts.
Udhayanidhi Stalin
Actor and politician Udhayanidhi Stalin has donated Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund, and appealed to the public to contribute as well to help overcome the pandemic.
Dhilip Subbarayan
Stunt choreographer and actor Dhilip Subbarayan has contributed Rs 1 lakh to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
CS Amudhan
Director CS Amudhan has contributed Rs 50,000. Informing this on Twitter, he wrote, "This is the endgame guys, donate generously."
Sun Pictures
Production house Sun Pictures, which is making high-profile films like Rajinikanth's Annaatthe, Vijay's #Thalapathy65 and Suriya's #Suriya40, have announced that they are "donating Rs.30 crores to provide relief to those affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic."
