— a popular shooting spot. When we enter the place, it is milling with dancers and film workers. We are at the site to capture the shoot of a music video that features the latest sensation Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan and Harshada Vijay aka
Lamberghini Girl
, who became popular after starring in the hit Punjabi music video Lamberghini.

Sridhar is giving instructions about the steps for the shot.
Given that his
Kutty Pattas
turned out to be a chartbuster earlier this year, Ashwin tells us that he was not sure about doing another music video, but the catchiness of this song — Yaathi Yaathi, composed by Abhishek CS — made him want to do it. “I feel that people will celebrate this song and it is going to be played everywhere you go,” he says.
The shot is ready and he leaves us to join the crew. He goes and sits on a swing decorated with flowers. A bevy of girls is around him; he is like Krishna amidst gopikas. They flirt with him and sway the swing, but then, Harshada enters the frame. She’s incensed. She grabs his hand and takes him away. The team shoots this sequence a couple of times until Sridhar is satisfied. As they break for the next shot, we speak to them about the song…
‘This won’t be just another music video’Sridhar Master
is an energetic dance choreographer. He gave me two variations in dance moves… one, with small, cute steps, and the other, with heavy movements. It took me a while to imbibe his style, but he helped me in every possible way. He has choreographed the song beautifully. My friend Goutham has done the cinematography and I was very happy shooting for this. We have been journeying together since the start of our careers and we share — and will continue to share — a great rapport. He frames me very beautifully and when people compliment me, I feel he deserves those praises. If he is part of a project, my confidence level automatically goes up. This won’t be just another music video. There is grandeur to the song and the production team has ensured that we get whatever we need to make this a likeable song for the public.
