Tamil Nadu government restricts theatres ahead of Vijay's GOAT release

Vijay starrer 'GOAT' is stepping closer to a grand theatrical release on September 5, and the film is to be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi languages. Vijay's film is going to be the only biggie that is slated to release on the day, the commercial drama is poised to occupy a record number of screens in Tamil Nadu, and other locations. Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has reportedly issued a restriction to theatres across major cities in the state. According to the latest report from Indiaglitz Tamil, the Tamil Nadu government has restricted theatres from having tall cutouts or banners in front of their arenas. A new restriction from the Tamil Nadu government with days to go for 'GOAT' release shocked fans. The restriction might prevent Vijay fans from expressing their love for their favorite actor through banners and cutouts.

'GOAT' is likely to occupy over 1100 screens in Tamil Nadu, and the highly-anticipated film is set to recreate box office records. The expectations have been mounting high as the film is inching close, and the high-budget drama is earning magical numbers at the pre-sales.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, 'GOAT' is going to be a stylish film of Vijay and it has been shot mostly in foreign locations. The multi-starrer film features Sneha, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Laila, Mohan, Jayaram, and Vaibhav in important roles, while the music for the film has been taken care of by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The film is a fictional story where Vijay and his team are part of Special Anti Terrorist Squad which is a wing of RAW where what they did in past affects the future.
